For most individuals, the deadline is April 30 each year. If you’re self-employed, you have until June 15, but any balance owing is still due by April 30.

If you miss the personal tax filing deadline (April 30), the CRA may charge penalties and daily interest on any amount owing. Even if you can’t pay right away, it’s important to file on time to avoid extra fees. If you’re late, we can help you get caught up and minimize penalties.

For individuals, a MyCRA account gives you secure access to your tax information anytime. You can check your refund status, view past returns, update direct deposit details, and even access benefit payments like the GST credit or Canada Child Benefit.

It’s common to be missing a slip or two, especially early in the season. We can often access many slips directly through the CRA’s secure portal if you’re registered for a My Account. If not, we’ll guide you on what to look for and help you file as soon as everything is ready.
